Programme financing for an investigational CHR-P programme
NWPharmaTech is developing an investigational cannabidiol programme (candidate NWPT-SM32300, also developed as NW300EMCBD) for people at clinical high risk of psychosis (CHR-P). Effectiveness in CHR-P is not established. Prevention is not the current primary aim of the proposed next clinical study. That study is proposed and not recruiting.
We are opening private conversations about catalytic programme financing for preparation and start-up toward that proposed next study. This page is informational. It is not an investment offer or solicitation. You cannot invest, pay, or connect a wallet on our website.

What is the programme?
We are developing an investigational oral cannabidiol micellar softgel for people at clinical high risk of psychosis (CHR-P). Development codes in use: NWPT-SM32300 and NW300EMCBD. It is not an approved medicine for CHR-P.
CHR-P is a research construct of elevated risk — not a schizophrenia diagnosis and not destiny. Most people at CHR-P do not transition to psychosis within three years.

Why CHR-P matters
Field research reports elevated transition risk when CHR-P is systematically assessed. Salazar de Pablo et al., 2021 (JAMA Psychiatry; DOI 10.1001/jamapsychiatry.2021.0830): a pooled estimate of about 25% developed psychosis within three years; a separate Kaplan–Meier cumulative estimate of about 27% at three years. These are two analyses, not one series. Heterogeneity is high.
UK NICE guidance prioritises specialist assessment and psychological care and does not recommend antipsychotics to prevent psychosis in at-risk presentations (CG155 / CG178).
Our proposed next study aims (planning-stage) to characterise dose response, symptoms, safety and tolerability in people at CHR-P — not powered prevention as the current primary aim.

What is demonstrated — and what is not?
Demonstrated / documented so far
- Phase 1 completed in 14 healthy volunteers (registries NCT07186283 / ISRCTN25163383): 600 mg and 900 mg NW300EMCBD softgels vs Epidyolex as registered comparator. Measures absorption and short-term tolerability — not CHR-P efficacy. Results are not yet published. No numerical BA/PK claims without a reconciled signed clinical study report. Documented Phase 1 sponsor of record: NW PharmaTech Ltd.
- Field context on CHR-P transition risk is published (Salazar framing above).
- Other published CBD trials used other preparations; none establish effectiveness of NWPT-SM32300.
- CANTOP-RCT (a planned CHR-P CBD trial) was funded but did not start owing to study-drug supply challenges (NIHR DOI 10.3310/YNFH9826) — a supply/start lesson, not an NWPT efficacy result.
Not established
- Effectiveness of NWPT-SM32300 in CHR-P.
- Prevention as the current primary aim of the proposed next study.
- Numerical BA/PK or bioavailability superiority without signed CSR.
- Patient enrolment in the proposed next study — not recruiting.

Next milestone
The financing object is catalytic preparation and start-up toward a proposed Phase 2B study in people at CHR-P. This is an operational milestone package — not an efficacy, prevention, or enrolment-complete claim.
Subject to financing, approvals, and current cost discovery, catalytic capital at planning-target scale could support work such as:
- Synopsis / protocol path
- Ethics and regulatory start-up
- Investigational product / CMC readiness for a start window
- CRO selection and study start-up
- First-site readiness when authorised
- Contingency / controlled wind-down capacity
Raised capital, if any, would be intended for ring-fenced programme work released against operational milestones — not against efficacy or prevention claims.

What ~US$10m means
Working planning target of approximately US$10 million for catalytic preparation and start-up toward a proposed Phase 2B in CHR-P (not recruiting). It is a fundraising planning assumption — not a Board-approved bottoms-up budget, not a CRO quote result, and not a claim that US$10 million fully funds a complete multiregional Phase 2B. Residual need awaits current RFQ. Illustrative net after fees/contingency stays private until quotes (omit net in public).

Who controls the clinical programme?
NWPharmaTech remains the pharmaceutical sponsor developing this investigational programme. Investigators, ethics committees and regulators remain independent.
Capital supporters do not vote clinical design, trial budget, or sponsor decisions. Transparent financing does not mean decentralised clinical governance.
Professor Scott Woods leads CHR-P work in an individual capacity. Yale University does not sponsor or endorse this website, any DAO, or any financing vehicle. Dr Grace Blest-Hopley is CSO (company science).
This track is CHR-P programme financing — separate from any acute-schizophrenia Series A process. Do not mix those economics into this journey.
DeSci / community role
DeSci and community channels may support transparency, distribution, or introductions.
Community follow or membership is not an investment entitlement. There is no live public token, IPT listing, launchpad, or retail token sale for this programme on our website. Structure options for private programme financing remain under evaluation — development objectives, not live terms.
Class A: DAO / community must not control trial budget or protocol while NWPharmaTech is sponsor-of-record.
